A Healthy start: The Hungry Indian Soul

A healthy diet is one that helps to maintain or improve overall health. A healthy diet provides the body with essential nutrition: fluid, adequate essential amino acids from protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and adequate calories.



Today in the morning THE HUNGRY INDIAN SOUL went for a walk in a very famous joggers park,Lucknow.
After completing my 1 hour of workout as I was returning to my car, I saw a vendor who was selling different kind of juices and healthy food items.
As a foodie I was curious to know what he was selling. I went up to his stall and asked for the food items he had. He told me that he had different types of juices which are beneficial for the body and if consumed in the morning it keeps you awake and energized throughout the day.
The juices which he had were
Kokum,Neem,Gooseberry,Aloe Vera,Bottlegourd.
I ordered for a Kokum and a Gooseberry juice. He also offered me a sprout chat with the juices.
I was so delighted to have these healthy drinks and it also made me really happy to know that apart from the fast food,  these kind of food also exist which helps you live a healthy life.

Facts about KOKUM & GOOSEBERRY juice :
KOKUM : Kokum is a purple berry which has been long used in Ayurveda to prevent infection, treat sores, cure ear infections, heal stomach ulcers, improve digestion, lessen arthritis pain and alleviate diarrhea & constipation.
GOOSEBERRY: Amla, aka Indian Gooseberry is one fruit that packs many health benefits into a really small package. It is rich in vitamin C & contains anti-oxidants, fibre and minerals like calcium and phosphorus.
