Creating A Buzz : A Pizzeria/Cafe : THE LUCKNOW LOCAL
Hello Lucknow !!
I hope my blog is keeping you guys entertained.
This week I am writing a review about a cafe which is bringing a Pizza Revolution in town.
The Lucknow Local is situated amidst the busy streets of Basmandi Chowraha , Lucknow.
As the road is directly linked to the city station , i.e. , Charbagh Railway Station, one will always find hustle-bustle on the road. From buses to auto rickshaws, this street never sleeps.
But apart from the busy life of Basdmandi , stands this cafe which provides you with latest music, cool mock tails , freshly prepared mouth-watering pizzas and an open mic where you can perform your gig.
As I reached the cafe, my eyes were stuck on a motorbike which was hanging above the entrance of this new cafe. When I asked the manager about this vehicle, I was surprised to know that it was fully functional. As I entered the cafe, I could smell freshly baked pizza and roasted coffee beans.
This aroma tickled my taste buds and made me hungry instantly.
From the open kitchen, where you can see the staff tossing the 'freshly prepared pizza base' in the oven, to the cool 'Bat-Signal' hanging on yellow wall, the interior of The Lucknow Local is Awesome. I really like Batman so I sat near it and browsed the menu which had wide varieties of pizza, lasagna, cheese & salsa nachos and mac & cheese.
They also had some really refreshing mock tails named after some popular American series like F.R.I.E.N.D.S and also A British Sensation: Game Of Thrones. Apart from that they also serve thick and scrumptious milk shakes like Nutella Shake, Kit Kat Shake, etc.
So the first thing that I ordered was a mock tail named after an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, "We Were On A Break", which was made with pulpy strawberry syrup and soda, it was so delicious that I finished it in a minute.
My stomach craved for another one, so I ordered another cool mock tail named 'FIRE & ICE' yet another one inspired from the TV series GAME OF THRONES , which is really popular nowadays.
So it was time for me to order a meal and the following items grabbed my attention-
1. The Cheesy Nachos with Salsa.
2. Khal-Cheezy Pizza (Inspired by GOT)
3. "Are We Sure? No !" (Lucknow's first ever fruity pizza)
4.The Kundan Pizza (A Royal Affair of India's obsession with Gold and The Vilayati Paratha, aka, Pizza)
I ordered the first three items and just to kill time, I went up to the small bookshelf which had some famous books by Paulo Coelho, John Grisham and Chetan Bhagat. The amazing fact about the book shelf is that it is made up of a network of steel pipelines. The cafe also has a tuned Yamaha Guitar, so if you are guitarist just like me, you can play there for yourself.
Finally my meal arrived. Yummmmmmm

It was time for Dessert..
I ordered 'Waffle Me', a name given to a dessert which had freshly made waffles served with scoops of vanilla ice-cream and chocolate syrup.
And "Chocotilla" a tortilla filled with NUTELLA chocolate spread.
My stomach was happy now,
After this wonderful experience, THE HUNGRY INDIAN SOUL highly recommends this place .
A Thumbs up for The Lucknow Local. :)

- The Cheesy Nachos with Salsa: This took me by surprise as I was expecting the regular Nachos with cheese and salsa dip. The nachos were layered generously with mozzarella cheese served with salsa and cheese dip in the centre.
- Khal-Cheezy Pizza: This amazingly crispy thin crust pizza had some juicy tomatoes and extra cheese dashed with black pepper, oregano and salt to taste.

"Are We Sure? No!" The fruity pizza: Honestly. I was not able to digest the whole idea of a fruity pizza as I have never had it before. However, I was surprised because it was delectable. It was topped with freshly cut mango (which was slightly charred may be by a flame torch) , pineapple and jalapenos which gave a tropical twist to it.
THE HUNGRY INDIAN SOUL strongly recommends this pizza
if you really like to experiment with flavours.
