When the attendant brought me the Green apple mojiti, i was really impressed by the presentation . They tossed a slice of green apple and mint leaves for garnishing served with a curly green straw which really excited me to have the drink. It was a "thumbs up" the very moment I sipped the drink. The freshness of the mint and the sweet&sour taste of the green apple made the drink really interesting. In all, it was a drink which can be enjoyed on hot sunny days.
2. Peach Iced Tea
The presentation of the peach ice tea was also very impressive. It had a exhilarating taste which connected to my soul . The drink was served with plenty of Ice cubes which kept the drink chilled till the last sip.
It was time for me to munch, so I was looking for a unique starter.
1. CHINESE BHEL :
I was surprised to see CHINESE BHEL on their menu. I did not expect it to be in this European style Cafe. I once had Chinese Bhel in Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi , however, were a major disappointment but as i was expecting a
lot from this Cafe, as it is based in Lucknow and here in Lucknow you get really "flavorsome"
Bhel (popped rice tossed with tarmarind chutney, minced onion and herbs).
So,I ordered it immediately , and waited for the dish to arrive as I sipped along the Green apple mojito.
The order arrived in just 5 minutes,which was quick and I was happy with the service.
This time i was not disappointed by the taste as it was a wonderfully balanced dish . It had crispy fried noodles smeared with tarmarind sauce. The chopped coriander, minced onions and shaved ginger which was used as a garnish, enhanced the taste of the Indo-chinese fusion.
THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST CHINESE BHEL I HAD.
2. CHICKEN LASAGNA :
It was time for me to order the main course.I was again in search of a unique meal , which would make me feel full. Only thing which came to my mind was pasta,However a Blogger needs to experiment as often as possible so I settled for the Chicken Lasagna . I've had Chicken Lasagna in New Delhi and Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Both the Lasagna tasted delectable with adequate amount of cheese, generous amount of Chicken and the texture of it was up to the mark.
I ordered CHICKEN LASAGNA and then to kill the long wait

The time passed away quickly and my CHICKEN LASAGNA finally arrived. :)
The Chicken Lasagna (with Mozarella cheese bubbling) was served with garlic bread.
As soon as I scooped into the Lasagna i realised that the texture was quite runny , but it did not compromise the taste of the Lasagna , in fact it was delicious,by my surprise. The Cafe Godown Lasagna had a generous qauntity of chicken pieces in it, the herbs used in the dish made it flavorsome and the spices gave it an Indian touch.
In all, THE HUNGRY INDIAN SOUL recommends this Lasagna to all.
Afer having a wonderful dinner, i asked for the bill, which was brought to me in a box. This was a new style of presenting the bill on the table. As i opend the box it was full of candies and a copy of the bill.
The dishes were a bit costly but the taste made it worth the expense.

Cafe GoDown is a european style cafe which is located in Aliganj, Lucknow.
i heard many of my friends talking about it , so i decided to visit this "Cool place" as qouted by my friends and share my experience with you all.

As i entered the place , i realised that they have designed the cafe in a basement and the name in actual is " CAFE GO-DOWN". There is a word play which makes the name of the restaurant really cool. As i climbed down the stairs , the wall was full of Graffiti which gave me a very good vibe.
As i entered the Cafe i was really glad to see that the Cafe was filled with youngsters, busy enjoying. The interior was really innovative, with all the fancy wal prints and Black Board which was designed with cool Grafittis . With latest music, some were soft romantic and others
were fast club songs which complimented the mood of the people hanging out. The sitting arrangement was good and it had a vinatge touch.
The cushions lying on the sofas were interesting, quotes and designs printed on them added
an X-factor to the ambience.
The staff were really promt at serving water and then a large size Menu card arrived at my table which was really fancy. i went through all the dishes which were mentioned in that menu card.
Then, I ordered 2 mocktails which are greatly desired by everyone these days :-
